Sales & Marketing
My journey to becoming a sales director in the senior living industry has been a fun one. I fell in love with this demographic in high school when I began volunteering at the local nursing homes in my very small hometown of Casa Grande, Arizona. As I was waiting tables in college, I was able to socialize with the “snowbirds” on a daily basis which was a blessing to me. I found their wisdom and life experience to be so fascinating. They inspired me to pursue nursing school to serve them at a different capacity. As life continued, I gave birth to three wonderful children, and I made my way from the southwest to southern California, and eventually Portland. My relationship with God is my highest priority, and family means everything to me. A fun fact that most people find surprising is that I am a grandmother to two beautiful little girls. I love to write poetry and dance to the beat of my own drum, and often my own singing. One lesson our valuable seniors have taught me is that life is too short to be concerned with the opinions of others. I couldn’t agree more.

In this session, multiple presenters will discuss the merits of the three most common options: aging in place, moving into the home of other family members, and moving into an independent living facility.
For her part, Yuri will share the top benefits of community living:
